War Letter
by:Tatiyana elago

Dear Family,

As I sit here the war continues. It is supposed to be a nice day today, but with the sky filled with gun and bomb smoke I highly doubt it. But besides the badness of that I do believe that the spirits, of those who past, are in the sky and will not leave until the war is over. I can’t say I regret this whole thing. But I can strongly say that I highly disagree for any one in my family to join this whole feud. I am doing well enough for us all.

I have been shot once it is healing very healthy. Thanks to the few nurses we have left.

But it was not so fortunate for many others. A lot of people die because of simple wounds. They turn into big infections that cause their death.

My ankles are beginning to get very raw. Not one of the doctors knows why, YET. A few other people were in the same situation as me and it ended with them getting their foot amputated. I am to strong but I still pray that in my case it doesn’t come down to that.

I am not close with anybody. I have turned so what cold hearted to others here. It seems that every time I did become friends with some one they ended up dead. I work with the machine guns.

It’s amazing to sit and watch the Germans drop like flies. I have no type of emotion towards it anymore. My first time using the gun I paused, I was so full of shock and discomfort.

I can’t make any say on when I will be coming home. For I have no clue my self. But I can promise, it will be when you here "THE FRENCH HAVE WON."

So when I do get there please have the following: a big feast made, warm house, a cloud nine bed, and I can’t forget the whole family over. I promise you all I will be there to see my little boy grow up.
